Drunken Disaster At Netherfield Park

I came across this excerpt today and last night today while looking at Jane Austen Variations for last month. I will continue that. Let me start out with how I didn't like the excerpt and then why (I also looked at the reviews). First off I'd like to point out that the author doesn't put the usual pairing together but let's skim over that. In Chapter 1 Elizabeth locked her door and went to bed now let's skim over that. Hurst at 1:30 or about AM of the 16th of November 1811 is SO drunk that he goes to the left corridor where his estate's rooms are then he complains about the lease because of Elizabeth's locked door then crashes into it, bleeds and screams which causes Miss Bingley and everyone to come and no one speaks up for her despite knowing what Elizabeth was like for five days. Jane doesn't believe her. The law is against Elizabeth even though she was in her flipping damp bed when everyone came to her room and Hurst had to damn be hauled up by servants. No one believes her. Her neighbour's who have known her for darn twenty years decide to allude on the rumors and hate her. It gets too the point that Charlotte won't speak to her and then Mr. Bennet disowns her because of silly rumors then it impacts the Gardiners as well. Let me tell you that Darcy and Bingley could have said something. Dude, likely started loving her around this time but ignores her because of Wickham and it would just be decent of Bingley with her being a houseguest. The worst of all is that almost everyone is hateful in this story to both me and each other and Louisa Hurst also realizes that now Slizabeth is ruined even though she doesn't like her. She wouldn't want that fate on her. Caroline is the most hateful I've seen her in any degree. In the reviews it says she gets with an oc I think it's the oc we meet in chapter 5 who we learn is around 50 years older than Elizabeth which is honestly creepy and all because of Caroline Bingley (she doesn't deserve to be called miss anymore). I usually read ten preview chapters or less. This was my least amount of preview on both epub and kindle. There is pride and prejudice but it is too harshly compared to the original. I'm sorry author but I won't be reading this story because you might as well have just used ocs with their names. The pride in the original title comes from Darcy's pride about the countryfolk and the feelings of another character. It also comes from the fact that Elizabth gets her feelings hurt because of her pride about herself because of him ad her being so certain about drawing people's characters. The prejudice in the title comes from Darcy being against being with Elizabeth because he thinks they are below them because her youngest sisters act that way. It also comes from the fact that Elizabeth believed Wickham's lies so was against him. They also have a less creepy age gap than the original charachter and her. They totally rewrote the story so it's not even "Pride and Prejudice" anymore not even really a what-if? either. Just the athor stealing Austen's characters names in the worst way possible. You really can't have a "P&P" fanfic without them being together or Bingley and Jane. I almost hate Caroline in all variations whereas I have no emotions for the og.
